Ly Nha Ky

Ly Nha Ky (1982-    ) is an actress, model and Vietnam's current tourism ambassador.

She was born on July 19, 1982 in Vung Tau, Vietnam.  Her given name at birth was Tran Thi Thanh Nhan.  At the age of 16, she left Vietnam to study abroad in Germany.  After graduating from Alexander Wiegand University, Ly Nha Ky returned to Vietnam and pursued a career as an actress.

As an actress, Ly Nha Ky has found success in both film and television of Vietnam.  She is most famous for portraying the roles as Thach Thao in the Vietnamese television mini-series, Gia Mua Mot Thuong De (2007) costarring Viet Trinh and as Diem Kieu in the Vietnamese television mini-series, Kieu Nu va Dai Gia (2008) costarring former Miss Vietnam titleholder Thuy Lam.  In 2008, she along with actress Vu Thu Phuong were cast in small roles as models in Shanghai, a major Hollywood produced film starring John Cusack, Gong Li and Chow Yun-fat.  The following year, Ly Nha Ky appeared in Dam Vinh Hung's music video for his single, Ngay Khong Binh Yen.  Among her other acting credits include Tinh Yeu Con Mai (2006) with Nguyet Anh, Tham Tu Tu (2007) with Truong Minh Quoc Thai and Duong Yen Ngoc, Noi Tinh Yeu Bat Dau (2009) with Viet Anh, Chiec Giuong Ngan Doi (2011) with Nguyen Phi Hung, Tam Tit, Minh Nhi and Cat Phuong and Mua He Lanh (Cold Summer) (2012) with Midu, Hieu Hien and Nhu Quynh.

In 2008, Ly Nha Ky along with singer Hong Nhung and former Miss Vietnam titleholder Giang My were selected as the three celebrity spokesmodels for Mercedes-Benz endorsements targeting the market in Vietnam.  She has also been a celebrity spokesmodel for Avon Cosmetics and Acer Aspire One.  Since 2011, Ly Nha Ky has been Vietnam's tourism ambassador.  Besides her native Vietnamese, she also speaks German, English and Mandarin Chinese.
